The Lanificio Zegna (wool mill) has woven twenty cut lengths of the world’s finest fabric from the world’s finest ‘Vellus Aureum Trophy’ winning wool.
Established in 2002, the 'Vellus Aureum Trophy' (Golden Fleece), was created in recognition of excellence in the pursuit of the finest woollen fleece.
To mark the Centennial anniversary of Ermenegildo Zegna, the winning fleeces, of each edition of the 'Vellus Aureum Trophy', have been collected by the Lanifico Zegna. Together the wool lot measures a staggering and unprecedented record average fineness of 11.1 micron.
